The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to $25 million to the foundation, and other government donors included Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Italy and Jamaica. The Dutch national lottery gave $5 million to $10 million.
The Blackwater Training Center donated $10,001 to $25,000. The State Department will have to decide next year whether to renew Blackwater Worldwide’s contract to protect U.S. diplomats in Iraq.

Not to say I’m for it, but I’m actually surprise that he hasn’t stated that he is willing to start a national lottery to help fund college students. Any reasoning as to why he hasn’t said such a thing?

A few states use gambling proceeds to help pay for education, including my state of Kansas.
Georgia uses ALL it’s gambling procees to pay for a FREE college education to any of it’s citizens that wish to pursue college.
The Georgia plan has some merit.

PS-THE USA has used lotteries before! During the Revolution, the US had a lottery to help pay for the war. Many colonies used lotteries to raise money. AND most of the original 13 states used lotteries. So a national lottery isn’t far fetched! (I love the History Channel).

The national debt is about 8.8 trillion dollars. There are about 300 million people in the U.S. If we can get 50 million of them to buy a $5 lottery ticket to win $50 million, and hold the lottery on a monthly basis, while keeping the deficit from getting any bigger we could pay off that debt in 3,667 years.
